Offered here is one of their Polimet I polishers we received as used aerospace surplus.We have cleaned, tested, and partially painted it and guarantee it to be both usable andservicible. 110 volt 60 Hertz unit draws 10 amps and is rated 1 horsepower with a removable 8 inchbronze platen. At present, the unit is speed controlled from an ultra heavy duty LinemasterHercules shielded foot potentiometer. The control unit appears to be restorable to manualpotentiometer control as well. Normal operating speed is 200 to 500 rpm. Accessories are readily available from Buehlerand elsewhere. We include the Polimet I polisher, its control box with meter readout, thestandard line cord, the fancy foot potentiometer, and a large 3/8 inch thick aluminum adaptorplate that makes the unit easy to mount in a hood or sink or enclosure of your choice. The heavy coated bowl has a fitting that lets you attach a standard shop vac to deal withany abrasive dust. The unit appears to be in better grade used condition. The actual motor hours are estimatedas low. The commutator shows some discoloration but no obvious wear. Brushes remainlong with a high remaining useful life.
