The main controller is a Dover Instruments DMM-2100 Motion Controller internally fitted with a Complete DeltaTau PMAC-PC 4 axis Servo Positioning System including DeltaTau PMAC Option 5B Module, DeltaTau PMAC Option 8A Module, Oztek OZ2X12 2-Axis Precision Encoder Interpolator, Glentek GA6520-10S Linear Amplifier, Glentek GA6520-11 Pre-Amp Module and a Dynamic Braking Module. Rotational Axis (Theta Axis) is a Dover Intruments Zero-Friction Air Bearing Spindle SP-743-RP-BDC/ENC equipped with a Heidenhain ERO 1324 Hub & Scanner Rotary Encoder with a internal ELO-4411PSX-3848 Brushless DC Motor.x axis is a 75mm Zero-Friction Solid Granite Air Bearing Slider equipped with Sony BS75A-160RS Laserscale encoder, Trilogy Systems LM210 Linear Motor Coil # 210-2C-AC-WD2(P) & Linear Motor Track # 210-14-AAnti vibraton, ultra stable, precision milled & lapped granite table by Rock of Ages, granite table weighs several hundred kilograms. Equipped with SMC pnematics. Accurate enough for magnetic or optical disc master formatting / read & write operations, ultra high precision optical lens milling, ultra high precision rotational milling / laser inspection etc. Tested Repeatable Accuracy (Specific Machine Test Results): <0.12 microns (um) on x axis Slider, <13.6 nano meters (nm) on Rotational Spindle (Theta-Axis), Test velocity 1800 rpm on Theta axis, x axis travel @ 8.5mm/sec, results averaged over 6 test runs. These machines are absolutely spotless, in very near mint conditon. They have been used and stored in a fully atmospherically controlled (temperature, humidity & cleanroom) environment.
